Program Requirements

Mom’s Last Litter helps owners of pregnant or nursing female cats get a free spay and support for any kittens so the mother has no more litters and everyone stays healthy.

Why this matters

  • Prevents more unwanted kittens and reduces pressure on shelters.

  • Protects the mother’s health by avoiding repeated pregnancies and lowering risk of infections and certain cancers.

  • Ensures kittens get proper care (vaccines, deworming, foster support) and better chances for rehoming.

  • Removes the cost barrier so owners can do the right thing for their cats and community.

  • Mom cat entering our Mom’s Last Litter program must be owned by the participant.

  • Participants must agree to safely and responsibly house the litter until they reach the required age, size, and health requirements to leave mom, which is approximately 6-8 weeks of age. This entails the entire litter to be surrendered.

  • Participants must agree to stay in contact with our rescue throughout the fostering process and notify us of any concerns.
